Ray started his auction career as a young boy selling cokes and hot dogs in the concession stand every Saturday at his father's car sale. As a teenager he traveled with his father every summer putting up the tent, erecting auction signs, giving out brochures and working on the sales.
Ray obtained his GA Real Estate Salesman License in 1964 and his Brokers License in 1966 after taking courses at the Georgia Institute of Real Estate in Atlanta. He has been active in the Georgia Auctioneers Association and has served on the Board of Directors. Ray is also a member of the National Auctioneer's Association.
Ray graduated from Darlington School in Rome, attended Auburn University and Graduated from Shorter College with a Business Degree.
