Ray started his auction career as a young boy selling cokes and hot dogs
in the concession stand every Saturday at his father's car sale.
As a teenager he traveled with his father every summer putting up the
tent, erecting auction signs, giving out brochures and working on the
sales.
Ray obtained his GA Real Estate Salesman License in 1964 and his Brokers License in 1966 after taking courses at the Georgia Institute of Real Estate in Atlanta. He has been active in the Georgia Auctioneers Association and has served on the Board of Directors. Ray is also a member of the national Auctioneer's Association.
Ray graduated from Darlington School in Rome, attended Auburn University and Graduated from Shorter College with a Business Degree.

Lynn Dempsey - Partner

Lynn joined Dempsey Auction Company in 1973 as a sales associate. He says "I was fortunate enough
to work with my father and the founder of our company, Mr. Sproull Dempsey, and my brother Ray Dempsey all my professional
life". After finishing the University of Georgia with a business degree and a major
in Real Estate, he continued his education
by attending the Nashville Auction School and the Certified Auctioneer's
Institute ant the University of Indiana. Lynn has also continued
his education by remaining as active as possible in the Georgia
Auctioneer's Association. He has served as President and has
served several terms on the board of Directors, and as a member of the
National Auctioneer's association. Lynn says "our industry has
worked diligently and faithfully to educate ourselves in both the
practice and ethics of the highest tradition of our trade. I
treasure the relationships gained through working with my fellow
auctioneers, serving our clients, the gathering of a large crowd to buy
a bargain - and making sure nobody gets one". |

Lou Dempsey - Partner |
Lou is the Company's third generation auctioneer. Born in 1969, he began attending auctions at an early age selling cokes that were to be given away free. At that time his grandfather, Sproull Dempsey, said he was definitely going to be an auctioneer. Lou was educated at Darlington School graduating in 1987 and graduated from Auburn University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Majoring in Marketing. While at Auburn he was a member of the Pi Kappa alpha Fraternity and the Auburn Marketing Association. He Joined Dempsey Auction Co. Full time in 1992, Graduated from the Nashville Auction School in 1993, and has been an active auctioneer ever since. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association. He is a Principal in the Company serving as Secretary/Treasurer and strongly believes in his Grandfather's motto "nothing succeeds like success". Lou and his dog Miller reside in Rome, GA

Gaines Dempsey - Partner

Gaines is a third generation member of the Dempsey Auction Co. Gaines has been with the Auction
Company full time since 1999. He obtained his real estate license in 1997 and worked all throughout high school and college
with the auction company. Gaines
is a graduate of Darlington School and the University of Georgia. Gaines became a partner in Dempsey Auction Co. in May of 2005. He and his wife Amy are expecting a little girl 'Rebecca Cade Dempsey' in August.

Russell Rogers - Salesman

Russell is a third- generation Roman. He is a 1971 graduate of Pepperell High School
and a veteran of the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division where he served from 1972-1975. Russell began his auction career
with Dempsey Auction Company in 1990 after having completed real estate School at Jason Free Realty.
He later attended the Mendenahll School of Auctioneering in High Point, NC. Russell is
dedicated to his profession and enjoys helping people achieve their goals. Russell says "I believe our auction team is the
very best around. I would be very proud to represent you in the auction sale of your property"

Col. Dale Crowe, CES is a lifelong resident
of Floyd County, GA. He obtained his auctioneers license in 1995
after attending auction school at the American Society of
Auctioneers. Col. Crowe joined our company in 2001 after receiving
his Real Estate license. In 2003 Col. Crowe continued his education
by becoming a State Registered Real Property Appraiser and by
obtaining the prestigious designation of Certified Estate
Specialist. Col. Crowe is one of only 130 Certified Estate
Specialist nationwide. As a Certified Estate Specialist and
professional auctioneer and appraiser of real and personal property,
Col. Crowe specializes in assisting the administrator/executor of an
estate with the crucial task of appraising and/or
liquidating of the estate’s assets. Col. Crowe has also been
involved in the antique auction business ever since he was a child.
He has conducted well over 300 antique auctions and brings with him
an extensive background of experience, selling all types of
furniture, antiques and estates.
Dale
